Poster reproduction of Javier Mariscal, Bénédictine – 1993
Javier Mariscal (born in 1950 ), multifaceted designer, alternately cartoonist, illustrator, decorator, furniture designer, model maker, fabric designer ... His exuberant, unconventional, humorous style is largely influenced by post-modernism. He created Cobi, official mascot of the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992.
This poster was created for the exhibition "Benedictine, L'Image en Mouvement" at the National Library and at le Palais Benedictine (November 1993 - April 1994), taking as its starting point the old poster by Lopes Silva: the stained-glass window becomes, in generous and greedy letters, the name of the brand in which the two characters reinterpreted in its own way are inserted.
The poster is 67 x 97 cm.
